Kendall Wingler was named Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Week on Jan. 12.

Wingler averaged 16.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 assists per game on 34 percent (11-for-32) shooting the week before.

The 5-foot-11 guard from Brandenburg, Kentucky, posted a career-best 22 points and seven rebounds in the win over Tennessee Tech on Saturday. Wingler had 11 points, six rebounds, and two steals against Jacksonville State.
