Jayla Johnson has set a new season high in two of her most recent three games. When she scored 22 points against Murray State on Feb. 6, she surpassed her season-best of 19. In the Colonels' very next game, she set a new season-high with 26 points in a near upset at Belmont on Feb. 11. The newcomer scored 16 points in EKU's win at Tennessee State on Feb. 13.

Johnson was chosen as the Ohio Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week on Feb. 9, the second time this season she has earned the honor.
