In the past couple of weeks, senior Trey Bowling has been selected first team All-OVC, placed tied for fifth at the Ohio Valley Conference championship, earned OVC All-Tournament honors and was selected as an individual for the 2009 NCAA Men’s Golf Championships. 

Bowling led the team with a 72.1 stroke average, second best in the OVC. He had 10 top-20 finishes, seven top-10 performances and has shot under par in 12 of the 33 rounds in which he has played. The Manchester, Ky., native won the U of L Cardinal Intercollegiate.

Bowling will begin play at the 2009 Division I Men’s Golf Championships on Thursday. Bowling is participating in the regional at The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, Ky. He is making his second straight, and third appearance overall in the NCAA Championships. His previous two trips have been with the entire Colonel team.
