Junior guard Justin Stommes, a native of Cold Spring, Minn., was named the MVP of the O’Reilly Auto Parts CBE Classic (Richmond sub-regional) after leading Eastern Kentucky to a 3-0 record in the event.

Stommes hit the game-winning three-pointer with 9.7 seconds left to lift EKU to a 74-72 victory over UTSA on Nov. 25. In that contest, the 6-7 guard scored 17 points and dished out a career-high seven assists in 37 minutes of action. He added 21 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals in a 10-point victory over UC Irvine on Nov. 24.
