Bowen was recently named the Ohio Valley Conference Female Track Athlete of Week after she ran an OVC-best 14.01 in the 100-meter hurdles at the North Carolina State Raleigh Relays and was also a member of the winning 4x200 meter relay team.

The Louisville, Ky. native ran a 14.01 in the preliminaries of the 100-meter hurdles and then placed 10th in the finals with a time of 14.20. Her time of 14.01 is 0.18 seconds faster than the second-fastest time in the conference.

Bowen also teamed up with fellow sophomore Diamond Benjamin and freshmen Bianca Forbes and Jazzmin Jeter to win the 4x200 meter relay at the N.C. State Raleigh Relays. The young team defeated a talented field that featured teams from schools such as Ohio State, Wake Forest, East Carolina and the host, N.C. State.

This past weekend, she won the 100 meters and the 200 meters and was a member of the winning 4x100 meter relay team and the winning 4x400 meter relay team at the Centre Invitational.
