Cookeville, Tenn. – The Eastern Kentucky volleyball team pushed its conference record to a perfect 4-0 mark with a three-game sweep of Tennessee Tech on Saturday afternoon. Senior
Lesley Aldridge recorded a match-high 17 kills in the win to move into eighth place on the school's all-time list.
Eastern (13-3, 3-0 OVC) held the Golden Eagles to a .098 hitting percentage in the match (including a .000 mark in game two) en route to its fifth-straight victory (all sweeps). Junior
Liz Guard, one game removed from hitting a career-best .769 percentage, registered 12 kills off a .409 mark and a match-high four blocks (two solos).
The Colonels tallied 10 total blocks as a team, getting two a piece from sophomores

Kelly Jennings,
Denise Grundhoefer and freshman
Shelly George. Jennings added 14 digs and 44 assists, which moved her past Kathy Murray (2,157 assists) into third on the school's all-time list.
With 17 kills, Aldridge upped her career total to 1,125, pushing her past Shelby Addington (1,124) for eighth place. Eastern's co-captain also picked up seven digs, making her just the fourth player in EKU history to go over 1,300 digs in a career.
Freshman
Brittany Nobilio led the Colonels with 15 digs in the win, followed by 14 from sophomore Jessica Sabath. Eastern hit .232 in the win, including .340 in a 30-24 game-one win.
Tennessee Tech (5-9, 1-3 OVC) received a team-high 13 kills from Anne Morrow, while Laura Tyburski paced the defense with a match-high 18 digs.
EKU returns to action next weekend with league matches against Jacksonville State (Friday, Oct. 8) and Samford (Saturday, Oct. 9).
