RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University’s softball team will host the 2008 EKU Invitational beginning Saturday at Gertrude Hood Field. The schedule for the four-team event has changed again due to weather conditions.

The updated schedule is listed below.

SATURDAY, MARCH 1
1:00 p.m. Cleveland State vs. Appalachian State
3:00 p.m. Eastern Kentucky vs. Dayton


SUNDAY, MARCH 2
9:30 a.m. Cleveland State vs. Dayton
11:30 a.m. Cleveland State vs. Eastern Kentucky
1:30 p.m. Dayton vs. Appalachian State
3:30 p.m. Appalachian State vs. Eastern Kentucky

The consolation and championship games, originally scheduled to be held after the conclusion of round robin play, will not be played.

The Colonels are 6-3 on the season and carry a four-game winning streak into the weekend.
