TAMPA, Fla. – In the first match of the University of South Florida Invitational, Northeastern University beat the Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-11) on Friday. The Colonels (0-1) hit just .181 for the match, compared to NU’s .349 attack percentage.

Newcomer Lindsey Loescher led EKU with eight kills. Freshman Jill Henneman totaled 18 assists in her collegiate debut.

Eastern Kentucky will close out play in the USF Invitational with a pair of matches on Saturday. At 1 p.m., the Colonels will face South Florida. At 5 p.m., Eastern will play Grambling.
