MOREHEAD, Ky. –
Eastern Kentucky’s women’s basketball team will face rival Morehead State for the 75th time on Saturday. However, the Eagles (11-9, 5-3 OVC) have won four straight between the two programs.

Eastern Kentucky will be playing its fourth straight road game. The Lady Colonels have lost seven straight on the road while Morehead State has gone 9-0 at home this year.

EKU concluded a three-game road trip with a 54-44 loss to Southern Illinois Edwardsville on Monday. The Lady Colonels committed 23 turnovers and were out-rebounded by nine. The Cougars turned EKU’s turnovers into 19 points and converted 17 offensive rebounds into 11 second chance points.

Freshman Kayla Drake led Eastern with 14 points. Senior Ilona Muszak finished with nine points, nine rebounds and three assists. Cherie White also contributed nine points and nine rebounds.

In her first three games back from a hand injury that sidelined her for six games, Muszak has averaged nine points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists. She scored a career-high 12 points against Southeast Missouri and grabbed a career-best nine rebounds against SIU Edwardsville.

Morehead State has won three of its last four games. MSU picked up its first road win of the season last week with a 74-68 victory at Southeast Missouri.

The Eagles are led by the trio of Chynna Bozeman, Tiffany Hamilton and Brittany Pittman. Bozeman, a sophomore guard, leads the team in scoring (15.1 ppg) and three-point field goals (55-for-162).

Hamilton, a junior guard in her first season at MSU, averages 11.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and is 50-for-142 from deep.

Pittman, a junior center, averages 10.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and is second in the nation with an average of 5.7 blocks per game.

In conference games, Morehead State has been out-rebounded by an average of 7.1 rebounds per game but has a +4.3 turnover margin against OVC squads.
