LIVE STATS

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women’s soccer team will play two important conference games at home this weekend. The Colonels (3-6-1, 0-0-1 OVC) will host Tennessee Tech on Friday at 4:00 p.m. before hosting Jacksonville State on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

EKU played Austin Peay to a scoreless tie on Friday in its OVC opener.

Senior forward Lauren Imsande has scored three goals this season (all of them game-winners) and has recorded one assist. Sophomore midfielder Heather Bruce, meanwhile, has scored one goal and recorded a team-best three assists.

Junior keeper Stephanie Lynch has started seven games for the Colonels and recorded three shutouts.

The Golden Eagles (2-8-1, 1-1-0 OVC) have played a tough conference schedule so far this season and scored a significant 1-0 win over UT Martin in double overtime last Friday before falling to preseason favorite Murray State 3-1 on Sunday.

Andrea Meloff leads TTU with four goals on the season while Kris Cambron has recorded three goals and an assist.

The Golden Eagles’ keeper Kaitlyn Thacker is second in the OVC in saves (55) and saves/game (6.11).

EKU fell at TTU in 2008, 2-1. The all-time series between the two programs is knotted at 2-2.

Jacksonville State (6-6-0, 0-2-0 OVC) is currently winless in the OVC; however, the Gamecocks will bring an explosive offense to EKU Soccer Field this weekend.

JSU leads the OVC in shots (192), points (96), goals (33) and assists (30).

Amber Delaney currently paces the Gamecocks with six goals (four of which have been game-winners) and one assist.

The Colonels defeated JSU, 2-0, in Jacksonville last year to tie the all-time series between the two schools at 2-2. Bruce scored the game-winner in last year’s game while current Colonel Alex Hartwick added an insurance goal in the 48th minute.
