The Colonel softball team will host Southern Illinois Edwardsville for a doubleheader on Saturday.  The first game will get underway at 1 p.m., a Gertrude Hood Field.  

EKU enters the game with a 9-11 overall record.  Eastern split a pair of games with Morehead State on Tuesday.  The Colonels won the first game 2-1 in eight innings.  After falling behind 9-0 in the second game, EKU brought the go-ahead run to the plate but couldn't complete the comeback.  The Colonels ultimately lost 12-7.

SIU Edwardsville is 24-6 overall.  The Cougars have won 13 of their last 15 games.  SIUE swept a doubleheader against Wichita State on Thursday.
