RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky’s softball team will conclude its regular season this weekend at home against Tennessee-Martin. The Colonels (16-25, 7-11 OVC) currently sit in eighth place in the Ohio Valley Conference standings. The top six teams advance to the OVC tournament.

EKU and UT Martin (31-19, 11-9 OVC) are scheduled to play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. Eastern will honor its four seniors before the start of Sunday’s game, which is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Free EKU seat cushions will be given out to fans on Sunday, while supplies last.

As the final weekend of the regular season approaches, four teams are in the running for the final two spots in the conference tournament. Tennessee Tech (24-29, 10-12 OVC) enters the weekend in fifth. Tennessee State and Eastern Illinois have identical 8-12 conference marks and are tied for sixth.

Tennessee Tech has concluded its conference schedule. Tennessee State will host Southeast Missouri for a three-game series. Eastern Illinois visits Austin Peay.

Colonel seniors Chelsea Butler, Jodi Pence, Pam Webber and Kalyn Fox will be honored before playing their final home game on Sunday.
