CLINTON, S.C. – The Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball team ran into a hot-shooting Presbyterian College team on Monday night, as the Colonels fell to the Blue Hose, 78-50, at the Templeton Center.
PC (1-1) shot 60 percent (15-of-25) from the field in the first half and ran out to a commanding 42-23 lead at the break. The Blue Hose continued to pour in shots in the second half and finished the night 46 percent (10-of-22) from three-point range. Conversely, EKU (1-2) shot just 5.3 percent (1-of-19) from behind the arc in the losing effort.

Jaron Jones led the Colonels with a career-high 15 points, while junior
Mike DiNunno finished with 11 points and converted 7-of-8 free throws in the second half.
Al’Lonzo Coleman powered the Blue Hose with 18 points and eight rebounds, while Khalid Mutakabbir had 13 points and Tyler Deihl came off the bench to knock down three three-pointers and finish with 11 points. Eleven different PC players scored in the game.
EKU returns to action on Friday when the Colonels go on the road to face another Big South foe, Liberty, at 7:00 p.m.
