RICHMOND, Ky. –
Derek Hardman was a four-year starter on the Eastern Kentucky University football team’s offensive line from 2006-09. Hardman earned his bachelor’s degree from EKU in December 2008, but wanted to pursue a chance to play in the NFL.
The two-time All-OVC performer and 2009 All-American began the 2010 season on Tampa Bay’s practice squad. However, Hardman was called up to the active roster in midyear and wound up starting the final four games for the Buccaneers at right guard.
Hardman recently sat down with EKUSports.com to discuss his time at EKU and his current life in the pros.
