Georgia State closed to within two runs when Callie Alford scored on an EKU throwing error in the fifth. Another two-run home run in the sixth, this time by Wood, allowed Eastern Kentucky to take a 5-1 lead. It was Wood’s first home run of the season.
GSU added a run in the seventh on a solo home run to set the final score.
Freshman
