JACKSONVILLE, Ala. –
Eastern Kentucky’s softball team fell to Jacksonville State, 3-1, in the series finale on Sunday.  The Gamecocks won two of the three games.

Jacksonville State (15-16, 9-2 OVC) got on the board first with an RBI double by Kristin Graham in the bottom of the first inning.  A sacrifice fly by Eastern’s Carissa Reisinger in the top of the third tied the game.

A pair of solo home runs in the fifth by the Gamecocks proved to be the difference.  Hayden Crawford led off the inning with a shot over the left field fence.  With two outs, Shelby Holley did the same.

Leanna Pittsenbarger (6-7) started for EKU (12-15, 5-3 OVC).  She allowed two earned runs in four and a third innings while walking two and striking out three.  Shaylon Robb allowed one run on two hits in one and two-third innings of relief.

Diane Gallagher had two hits in three at bats for Eastern.

Graham went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Gamecocks.  Tiffany Harbin (6-2) pitched a complete game five-hitter to earn the win.  She allowed one run, walked one and struck out eight.

Eastern Kentucky will be back in action on Tuesday when they play a doubleheader at Ohio.  First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
