RICHMOND, Ky. –
The first 50 students at today’s Eastern Kentucky University softball game will receive a free t-shirt.  The Colonels host rival Morehead State for a single game at 3 p.m.

Eastern enters the game with a 13-16 overall record and a 5-3 mark in Ohio Valley Conference games.  MSU is 8-17 this season and 2-8 against league foes.

EKU will be going for its first season sweep of the Eagles since 2007.  The two teams played a doubleheader in Morehead on March 21.  Eastern won by scores of 2-1 and 8-6.

Junior Raquel Howes has been hot at the plate of late, hitting four home runs in her past six games.  She’s second on the team with a .347 batting average this season and leads the squad with nine home runs and 29 RBIs.
