CHARLESTON, Ill.
– Eastern Illinois' Meagan Radloff scored the game-winner with less than three minutes to play in regulation as the Eastern Kentucky University soccer team dropped its second consecutive Ohio Valley Conference game, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon at Lakeside Field.

EKU (2-9-1, 1-2-0 OVC) stifled first-place EIU (4-9-0, 4-0-0 OVC) on offense all day, until Radloff, the host Panthers' leading scorer on the season, finally broke free in the 87th minute, receiving a pass from Madison Carter and scoring from 10 yards out to secure the dramatic win.

The Colonels attempted one more corner kick than the Panthers and fired 12 shots on the day, however, for the second straight game, they could not convert. Senior Nikki Donnelly led EKU with five shots in the game, while sophomore Katie Bright attempted three.

Sophomore goalkeeper Erika Wolfer played 68 minutes in the net before receiving a red card and giving way to fellow sophomore Samm Melton. Melton played the final 22 minutes of the game and surrendered the decisive goal to Radloff.

"Sunday afternoon matches are physically tough after playing 90 minutes on Friday night," head coach Melissa Barnes said. "To play down a player for the last 23 minutes is even tougher. Our team put a lot of pressure on EIU, especially in the second half, but not quite enough. We will now look to prepare for next weekend at home."

The Colonels return home next weekend to host Southeast Missouri (Oct. 11) and returning OVC champion UT Martin (Oct. 13).
