RICHMOND, Ky.
– The Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball team – leaders of the Ohio Valley Conference East Division – will host Southeast Missouri on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. and OVC West leader UT Martin on Monday at 7:00 p.m.

EKU (11-7, 5-2 OVC) has won eight of its last 10 games. The Lady Colonels are 5-1 at McBrayer Arena this season.

EKU split its road trip to the Music City last weekend, defeating Belmont, 75-59, on Saturday before falling at Tennessee State, 78-63, on Monday.

Senior Marie Carpenter scored a game-high 27 points at Belmont and broke the EKU career record for three-pointers made in the process. Carpenter enters the weekend ranked second in the OVC in scoring at 21.9 points-per-game.

Fellow senior Pilar Walker also had a big game at Belmont, recording her first-career double-double with 12 points and 10 assists. Walker dished out 14 assists on the weekend and now ranks third in the OVC in that category (4.4 assists-per-game).

EKU leads the conference in rebounding margin (+5.4), but could be challenged by SEMO, who ranks third in that category at +1.8.

Southeast Missouri (7-13, 3-4 OVC) is currently third in the OVC West but the Redhawks arrive in Richmond having won two straight conference games over Eastern Illinois and SIUE.

The Redhawks have no players averaging double-figures scoring. Olivia Hackmann leads the way for SEMO at 9.8 points-per-game.

EKU leads the all-time series with SEMO, 28-15, and the Lady Colonels have won two straight over the Redhawks dating back to the 2011-12 season.

UT Martin (16-6, 9-0 OVC) does not play on Saturday and will arrive at McBrayer Arena on Monday undefeated in conference play and sitting comfortably atop the OVC West standings.

The Skyhawks are led by the senior duo of Heather Butler (22.5 points-per-game) and Jasmine Newsome (19.4 points-per-game), the first and third-leading scorers in the conference.

EKU leads the all-time series with UTM, 30-16; however, the Lady Colonels have dropped seven straight games to the Skyhawks, including a 78-63 loss in the quarterfinals of last year's OVC Tournament.

Following this weekend, EKU will stay at home to host in-state rival Morehead State on Saturday, Feb. 8.
