RICHMOND, Ky. –
After two consecutive wins at home, the Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball team will head back out on the road to face East Tennessee State on Saturday night in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Tip is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

EKU (4-3) rolled past Asbury, 73-48, in its home opener last Tuesday. The Colonels then edged Marshall, 63-58, on Saturday before taking this week off for final exams.

Junior Miranda Maples came off the bench to score a season-high 12 points in Eastern's win over Marshall. Junior Jasmine Stafford also came off the bench to nearly contribute her first-career double-double, scoring nine points and grabbing a career-high 11 boards.

EKU currently leads the Ohio Valley Conference in field goal percentage defense (35.6) and three-point field goal percentage (36.1).

ETSU (5-4) has won two straight as well, including an 88-64 victory at Alabama A&M last Saturday.

Five Buccaneers average double figures in scoring. Shamauria Bridges leads the way at 15.9 points-per-game.

EKU is 8-4 all-time versus ETSU; however, the Bucs have won the last two in the series and EKU has not defeated ETSU since 1997.

Following Saturday's game, the Colonels will return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Alabama A&M in Normal, Alabama.
