RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball team will wrap up of the non-conference portion of its schedule by hosting the Richmond Spiders at McBrayer Arena on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
This is the first-ever meeting between EKU and Richmond in women's hoops.
EKU (5-4) is fresh off a 62-56 victory at Alabama A&M on Wednesday night. The Colonels shot a season-high 56 percent (28-of-50) from the floor and limited the Lady Bulldogs to 27 percent (17-of-63) shooting in the win.

Shameekia Murray came off the bench to score a career-high 21 points on Wednesday. She also grabbed a career-high six rebounds.
EKU trotted out its fifth different starting lineup of the season in the win. Junior

Nicole Bowers made their first starts of the season. Pippen responded with a career-high eight points, while Bowers added six points and a team-best eight boards.
Richmond (5-4) arrives in Richmond having won two straight games over Wake Forest and UNCW.
The Spiders are led by Lauren Tolson, who is averaging 13.0 points-per-game.
EKU will open Ohio Valley Conference play by hosting Austin Peay on Saturday, January 3, at 4:00 p.m.
