RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball team will welcome Marshall to McBrayer Arena on Saturday for a 4:00 p.m. tip.
EKU (3-3) is fresh off a 73-48 win over Asbury in its home opener on Tuesday. The Colonels – who lead the Ohio Valley Conference in field goal percentage defense (35.3) – stifled the Eagles to 23.8 percent (13-of-55) shooting from the field.
Junior
Shelly Harper recorded her second-straight double-double in the win, scoring 12 points and grabbing 11 boards.
Marshall (4-1) is also coming off a win. The Thundering Herd defeated Coastal Carolina, 77-65, on the road last Saturday.

EKU is 17-4 all-time versus Marshall and has not lost to the Herd since 1995. Last year, the Colonels stormed back from 13 points down to defeat Marshall, 64-55, in Huntington. Harper had 10 points and eight rebounds in that come-from-behind win.
Saturday's game is EKU's last home game until Sunday, Dec. 21, when the Colonels host Richmond.
