Dallas Robinson's Two-Man Sled Finishes 13th in Sochi

Robinson will compete in the four-man sled event this Saturday and Sunday

SOCHI, Russia – Former Eastern Kentucky University track star Dallas Robinson teamed up with pilot Nick Cunningham to finish 13th in the Winter Olympics two-man bobsled event on Monday evening at the Sanki Sliding Center.

Robinson and Cunningham recorded four runs in a time of 3:47.69, 2.3 seconds behind the gold medal Russian team.

Robinson's U.S. teammates Steven Holcomb and Steve Langton earned bronze with a time of 3:46.27, becoming the first Americans to medal in the two-man event since 1952.

Robinson holds the EKU record in the indoor 200 meters (21.35) and was named the Ohio Valley Conference Male Track Athlete of the Year in 2005.

The native of Crestwood, Ky. returns to action this Saturday and Sunday when he will serve as the brakeman for Team U.S.A's No. 2 four-man sled – driven by Cunningham and featuring push athletes Justin Olsen and Johnny Quinn.
