RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball team will travel to Austin Peay on Saturday before hosting Belmont in a critical Ohio Valley Conference East game on Monday night at McBrayer Arena.
Monday's game is a Pink Out at McBrayer Arena. All fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness. The first 100 fans to arrive will receive a Pink Out EKU T-shirt.
EKU (14-9, 8-4 OVC) is fresh off a critical 74-70 win at Tennessee Tech last Monday. It was the Lady Colonels' first win in Cookeville since Jan. 6, 2003 and only their fifth win there ever. Senior
Marie Carpenter led EKU in the win with 25 points, while senior
Pilar Walker added 11 points and nine assists.
Austin Peay (9-18, 6-8 OVC) has lost four consecutive games, including a 65-63 loss at home last Monday. Tiasha Gray leads the Lady Govs at 14.9 points-per-game.
EKU leads the all-time series with Austin Peay, 46-29. The Lady Colonels have won two straight over the Lady Govs, including a 61-59 victory in Clarksville on Jan. 16, 2012. Carpenter scored 22 points in that game as a sophomore.
Monday night's game could decide the OVC East champion. Belmont (12-14, 9-4 OVC) currently holds a half-game lead over EKU in the East standings. The Bruins host Eastern Illinois on Saturday before travelling to Richmond on Monday.
EKU defeated Belmont in Nashville, 75-59, on Jan. 25.

Saturday's game is set for 6:15 p.m. ET. Monday's game will tip at 7:00 p.m. ET.
Following this weekend's action, EKU will conclude the regular season by hosting Tennessee Tech on Thursday, Feb. 27, and Tennessee State on Saturday, March 1.
