RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University softball team takes on OVC foes Murray State and Austin Peay this weekend at Gertrude Hood Field. The Colonels face Murray State in a doubleheader Friday at 1 p.m., before turning around to take on Austin Peay in a twin-bill Saturday at 1 p.m.

EKU (22-15, 10-5 OVC) faces an extremely hot Murray State (24-18, 11-5) squad on Friday. The Racers have won seven straight games while averaging more than seven runs per game in those contests. Eastern has been nearly as hot, winning five of its last six contests.
