RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University softball head coach Jane Worthington needs just one more win to reach her 600th career victory. The Colonels will have that opportunity this weekend in a three-game series at OVC foe Tennessee Tech.
 
Worthington has coached the Colonels since the program's inception in 1993. Along the way, the team has advanced to two NCAA tournaments (2002 and 2004). Last year's EKU squad captured the OVC East Division title by going 19-6 in league games.
 
Eastern (26-17, 13-6 OVC) will attempt to win a regular season series against Tennessee Tech (18-32, 10-11) for the first time since 2004. During the current stretch, the Colonels are just 6-15 versus the Golden Eagles.
 
The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game on Sunday. Action will start both days at 2 p.m. ET.
