PDF StatsCOOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Host Tennessee Tech put together a three-run fifth inning to rally and defeat the Eastern Kentucky University softball team Sunday afternoon, 3-2.
Eastern Kentucky (27-19, 14-8 OVC) won the opener of the three-game series, but then lost the final two games. Eastern was trying to win its first regular season series against Tennessee Tech (20-33, 12-12) since 2004.

Krislyn Campos got the Colonels on the board first with a two-run homer, her second of the season, in the third inning.
After being held to one hit in the first four innings, the Golden Eagles strung together three hits for three runs in the fifth. The big hit was a two-out, two-run double by Hannah Eldridge to give TTU the lead at 3-2.
Eastern tallied two hits in the sixth, but could not push across the tying run. The Colonels stranded seven base runners in the loss.
Eastern Kentucky wraps up the regular season next weekend with a three-game home series against OVC leader Jacksonville State.
