Gameweek: Colonels Hit The Road Again For Week Two

RICHMOND, Ky. – After picking up a road win in the opener, the Eastern Kentucky University football team faces a much tougher road test this Saturday when the Colonels take on Miami (Ohio). Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.

Saturday's game can be seen on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.

This is the 15th straight year that EKU has squared off against an NCAA FBS program. Eastern Kentucky (1-0) is 4-19 against NCAA FBS programs since 1978 when the Colonels joined the ranks of NCAA FCS. EKU's last win against an FBS school happened in 1985 thanks to a 45-21 victory at Louisville.

Miami (0-1) lost its opener to Marshall, 42-27, and has lost 17 straight games overall dating back to 2012. However, the Redhawks' offense, which averaged only 9.8 points per game a year ago, put up 27 points and 418 yards of offense against the Thundering Herd.

This will be the first meeting between the two teams since 1935. The Colonels last faced a team from the MAC in 2003 and lost a heartbreaker to Central Michigan, 42-41.
