RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team will take a road trip through the Buckeye State this weekend, as the Colonels visit Cincinnati on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. before traveling to Athens to face Ohio on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
EKU enters the weekend with a record of 2-1-0. The Colonels blanked Western Carolina, 1-0, on the road in their season opener before scoring a program-record seven goals in a 7-0 win versus Alabama A&M at home on August 29. Junior

Cassie Smith both scored a pair of goals in the lopsided victory.
Eastern suffered its first defeat, 1-0, at the hands of a tough Evansville side on August 31.

Anna Hall and the EKU defense went 246 minutes of play this season before finally surrendering a goal.
Cincinnati is 2-1-1 on the year with wins over Samford and Mississippi State. Katy Couperus leads the Bearcats with three goals on the young season.
EKU is 0-2 all-time versus Cincinnati, with close losses to the Bearcats in 2009 (3-2) and 2012 (2-0).
Ohio enters the weekend with a record of 1-3-0. The Bobcats' lone win came against Wright State (1-0). Ohio will host Xavier on Friday before hosting the Colonels in Sunday afternoon's affair.
Ohio leads the all-time series with EKU, 1-0. The Bobcats defeated the Colonels last year at EKU Soccer Field.
Following this weekend's action, the Colonels return home to face UNC Asheville (September 12) and Marshall (September 14) next weekend.
