BOWLING GREEN, Ky.— For the first time since November 14, 2009, the Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball team will take on intrastate opponent, Western Kentucky University, Wednesday when it travels to Bowling Green.

Wednesday's game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET at WKU's E.A. Diddle Arena. The Hilltoppers won the previous meeting, 75-54, and lead the all-time series 27-7.

The Colonels (4-3) hit the road to take on the Hilltoppers for the first of a three-game road stretch. A late three-pointer doomed Eastern against Wright State Sunday at McBrayer Arena, as the Colonels dropped their first home contest of the season, 71-69.

Juniors Jalen O'Bannon and Michaela Hunter posted 25 point, eight rebound performances Sunday for the Colonels. The duo, along with senior Shameekia Murray, combines for more than 45.2 points-per-game.

For the Hilltoppers, redshirt junior Kendall Noble leads the way on both sides of the ball. Noble leads Western with 15.9 points-per-game and 7.7 rebounds-per-game.

Western's defensive unit ranks 13th in the nation with 6.0 blocks-per-game. Meanwhile, the Hilltopper offense shoots 38 percent from behind the arc through their first seven games.
