SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Following a 112-34 win over Cincinnati Christian University, EKU's women's basketball team will take on Missouri State University Saturday at JQH Arena.
 
Tip off for Saturday's game is scheduled for 8:05 p.m. ET.

EKU exploded for a 78 point win over visiting Cincinnati Christian on Thursday. The Colonels shot 57 percent (49-85) from the floor and an impressive 50 percent (9 of 18) from behind the arc in the win.
 
Senior Miranda Maples paced the Colonel offense with 21 points on 9-of-13 shooting, tying a career-high. Junior Jalen O'Bannon logged her third straight double-double, adding 12 points and 10 boards in the win. Freshman Abby Wright (19) and junior Zee Willix (10) both posted a career-high in scoring Thursday. Senior preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference selection Shameekia Murray added 14 points, marking the first time since February 27, 2014 five Colonels scored in double figures.
 
Kenzie Williams, Tyonna Snow and Liza Fruendt lead Missouri State's offense. The trio averages more than 12 points-per-game each and nearly 10 combined rebounds per game.
 
The Colonels (4-1) are off to their best start since the 2012-13 season.
