THIS WEEKEND: 
The Eastern Kentucky University softball team (23-23, 13-7 OVC) faces off against Jacksonville State (33-15, 15-6 OVC) in Jacksonville, Alabama for the final series of the regular season. EKU has won eight of its last nine games coming into the weekend. The outcome of this series could shake up the OVC standings heading into the OVC Tournament. EKU is currently in the No. 4 spot, with Jacksonville State in the No. 2 spot.
 
LIVE STATS will be available for all three games at University Field this weekend. LIVE VIDEO will be available for Saturday's doubleheader, which is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. ET. Sunday's single game will also start at 2 p.m. ET.

The Colonels swept their series against Tennessee Tech last Saturday by scores of 4-1 and 8-6.
 
ON DECK
Eastern Kentucky is heading into the OVC Tournament that's set to start on Wednesday, May 6. EKU could move up in the final standings depending on the outcome of the games against JSU.
 
SERIES HISTORY
The Gamecocks lead the all-time series against EKU, 27-9. The Colonels have not won a regular season series against Jacksonville State since 2007.
 
TACKETT KEEPS SENDING THEM OVER THE WALL
Katie Tackett leads the Colonels and ranks fifth in the OVC with 11 home runs. The first baseman launched two home runs in the Colonels' 8-6 win over Tennessee Tech last Saturday.
 
PITTSENBARGER RACKING UP THE Ks
Leanna Pittsenbarger is now tied for third in the OVC strikeouts with 139. Her career total of 866 strikeouts is an EKU record.
 
MURPHY'S ON-BASE STREAK CONTINUES
Freshman Paige Murphy is currently riding a streak of 20 games where she's reached base safely. The freshman leads the team with 41 hits on the season.
