CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.— An 18-0 Austin Peay run in the second quarter separated the teams, as EKU's women's basketball team fell 94-66 in the Ohio Valley Conference opener Saturday at the Winfield Dunn Center.

Abby Wright chipped in 11 points and five rebounds.
The Lady Govs opened an 18-0 run in the second period, spanning 4:36 to take a 39-15 lead with under five minutes left in the opening half.
Eastern opened the final period on a 10-4 run, as Hunter netted six straight points for the Colonels to narrow the Austin Peay lead. However, the deficit was too much.
Tiasha Gray paced the Lady Govs with a game-high 21 points.
The Colonels (6-6) return to McBrayer Arena on Thursday in an OVC matchup against UT Martin. Thursday's game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET.
