DAYTON, Ohio – The EKU women's basketball team returns to action on Monday after seven days off for the first of three games at the Wright State Invitational presented by Holiday Inn.
Along with the Colonels, host Wright State University, Miami (OH) University, and Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne will make up the four-team field.
The Colonels tip off against Wright State on Monday, before squaring off against Miami (OH) on Tuesday and closing the event against Fort Wayne Wednesday. Monday and Wednesday's games are slated for a 1:30 p.m. tip, while Tuesday's matchup is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.

WHAT TO KNOW
- The Colonels are coming off a 58 point, 88-30, win over Ohio Valley University.

Alexus Cooper led EKU with a career-high 22 points in the win over OVU. Cooper added 19 points in a 63-57 loss to Akron on Dec. 10. Cooper was voted Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week on Dec. 12.

- EKU is best in the OVC in fewest turnovers and turnover margin through its first nine games.

- The Colonels average 9.4 steals-per-game which is third in the conference. EKU's 4.2 blocks-per-game is fourth best in the OVC.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Wright State (5-4) ended a four-game losing skid with Thursday's 85-61 win over Cincinnati Christian. Four Raiders average in double digit scoring. Chelsea Welch's 17.3 ppg leads the team.
- Monday's meeting will mark the 12th all-time meeting between the teams. EKU leads the series, 6-5. WSU picked up a 71-69 win at McBrayer Arena last season.
- After winning their first two games, the Redhawks (3-6) dropped their next six matchups. Miami got back in the win column with a 64-49 win over Northwood University Dec. 10. Lauren Dickerson's 14.7 ppg paces the Redhawk offense.
- EKU leads the series, 11-4 over Miami. Senior
Jalen O'Bannon picked up her first of 15 double-doubles last season in the Colonels' 77-72 overtime win in Oxford last season.
- Wednesday's matchup with IPFW will mark only the second in the series. EKU won the lone meeting, 93-74, on Dec. 29, 2001 in Richmond at the EKU Comfort Suites Classic.
- The Mastadons (2-8) had lost their previous seven contests before a 61-55 win over the University of Illinois Chicago on Dec. 10.
- De'Jour Young leads the IPFW offense with 11.9 ppg.
