DAYTON, Ohio –
The EKU women's basketball team returns to action on Monday after seven days off for the first of three games at the Wright State Invitational presented by Holiday Inn.

Along with the Colonels, host Wright State University, Miami (OH) University, and Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne will make up the four-team field.

The Colonels tip off against Wright State on Monday, before squaring off against Miami (OH) on Tuesday and closing the event against Fort Wayne Wednesday. Monday and Wednesday's games are slated for a 1:30 p.m. tip, while Tuesday's matchup is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.

Each of EKU's three games will be available on ESPN and the Watch ESPN app. ESPN3 is ESPN's live multi-screen sports network, a destination that delivers thousands of exclusive sports events annually.  It is accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app and streamed on televisions through Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

WHAT TO KNOW

- The Colonels are coming off a 58 point, 88-30, win over Ohio Valley University.

- Redshirt senior Alexus Cooper led EKU with a career-high 22 points in the win over OVU. Cooper added 19 points in a 63-57 loss to Akron on Dec. 10. Cooper was voted Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week on Dec. 12.

- Seniors Katie Pippen (10) and Amadi Brooks (11) also posted career highs in scoring in Sunday's win over OVU.

- EKU is best in the OVC in fewest turnovers and turnover margin through its first nine games.

- Cooper ranks fourth in the league in three-point field goal percentage (40.4) and senior Shavontae Naylor is fourth in the conference in field goal percentage (47.7).

- The Colonels average 9.4 steals-per-game which is third in the conference. EKU's 4.2 blocks-per-game is fourth best in the OVC.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT

- Wright State (5-4) ended a four-game losing skid with Thursday's 85-61 win over Cincinnati Christian. Four Raiders average in double digit scoring. Chelsea Welch's 17.3 ppg leads the team.

- Monday's meeting will mark the 12th all-time meeting between the teams. EKU leads the series, 6-5. WSU picked up a 71-69 win at McBrayer Arena last season.

- After winning their first two games, the Redhawks (3-6) dropped their next six matchups. Miami got back in the win column with a 64-49 win over Northwood University Dec. 10. Lauren Dickerson's 14.7 ppg paces the Redhawk offense.

- EKU leads the series, 11-4 over Miami. Senior Jalen O'Bannon picked up her first of 15 double-doubles last season in the Colonels' 77-72 overtime win in Oxford last season.
