NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After picking up 15 wins in non-conference play, the EKU softball team will open league play this weekend with a three-game series at Tennessee State University.
The doubleheader originally scheduled for Saturday was moved to Friday due to expected inclement weather, while Sunday's rubber match was moved to Saturday. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET both days.
EKU (15-6) is hitting .301 on the season and averaging 4.86 runs per game, ranking second in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Kayla Joyce leads the Colonels, hitting .400 on the year. Joyce has started all 21 games thus far for EKU, tallying 10 RBIs and 13 runs.

Tennessee State (7-17) has lost its last two contests. The Tigers enter the weekend series hitting .248. TSU's combined team earned-run average is 7.01 through 24 games.
