RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team will look to set a new program record with its sixth straight win when the Colonels travel to Nashville to open Ohio Valley Conference play against Belmont on Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
Eastern returns to Richmond to host Jacksonville State on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

- EKU (5-2-0) extended its win streak to five with a 1-0 victory over Chattanooga on Friday at EKU Soccer Field.
- Eastern took control of the match when junior

Anna Hall notched her fourth shutout in EKU's last five games against Chattanooga. The native of Ross, Ohio now ranks second all-time at EKU with nine career shutouts. Hall was also voted OVC Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time in the last three weeks for her performance against the Mocs.
- The Colonels have outscored their opponents 9-2 during the five-game winning streak. The streak ties the same mark set by the 2010 squad. The last time an opponent scored at the EKU Soccer Field was in the home opener against Xavier on August 21.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
- Belmont's (1-4-3) leading scorer is senior Meg Howard, who has two goals on the year.
- The Bruins' lone win came against Wright State on September 9.
- EKU will be seeking its first-ever win against Belmont. The Colonels are 0-2-2 all-time against the Bruins. The last time the two teams met in Nashville, they played to a 110-minute scoreless draw on September 28, 2014.
- Jacksonville State (3-5-1) holds wins over Georgia Southern, Jackson State and The Citadel this season.
- The Gamecocks are led by freshman Nadia Plawiuk's two goals this season.
- EKU leads the all-time series with JSU, 7-3-1, and has won three of its last four meetings against the Gamecocks.
- JSU is set to play Tennessee Tech on Friday before traveling to Richmond for Sunday's match.
