Box Score COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team dropped its first conference game of the season, falling to the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon.

It is the Colonels' first loss since September 8th, when they fell to Garden-Webb, 2-0.

The EKU (8-4-4, 5-1-3 OVC) offensive attacked picked up in the second half, as the Colonels managed to fire five of their six shots in the final 45 minutes, but none of them managed to find the back of the net. Senior

Monica Rios led the Colonels with two shots apiece on the afternoon. Junior

Katie Shaffer each contributed one.

The Golden Eagles (8-4-3, 5-1-3 OVC) struck early, when in the seventh minute, Molly Kafader headed in a corner kick from Karigan Owens. TTU converted on another corner in the 54th minute, as Owens bended in the kick from the right side of the field.
