RICHMOND, Ky. – The No. 3 seed Eastern Kentucky University soccer team will do battle with No. 7 SIUE in the OVC Tournament quarterfinals at EKU Soccer Field on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Admission is FREE, and fans can follow the action live from the OVC Digital Network.
EKU defeated SIUE, 3-2, earlier this season in Edwardsville.

- Senior
Allison Werner ended the Colonels' (9-4-4, 6-1-3 OVC) regular season in style, scoring a golden goal and first career game-winner in the 95th minute to lift EKU past Belmont, 1-0, last Sunday.
- Senior forwards
Emmi Carroll and
Jordan Foster hold a tie for most goals on the team this season with six. Carroll needs just one goal to take sole possession of becoming 2nd in program history for career goals (18).
- Senior goalkeeper
Anna Hall made three saves to earn her sixth clean sheet of the season against Belmont. She is now one shutout away from tying Stephanie Lynch's career record (23).
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- SIUE (8-9-2, 5-5-1 OVC) defeated UT Martin in the first round of the OVC Tournament, 2-1, Friday afternoon.
- The Cougars capitalized early in the first period, when in the 5th minutes, Peyton Roehnelt fired a shot from 15 yards out that found its way past the keeper. After UT Martin evened the score just three minutes later, SIUE responded, as Caroline Hoefert headed in the game-winning goal from a free kick.
- Hoefert leads the Cougars with five goals and is tied for second on the team with two assists.
WHAT'S NEXT
With a win, the Colonels would advance to the semifinals of the OVC Tournament held in Murray, Kentucky and would play No. 2 seed Tennessee Tech. Game time is scheduled for 12 p.m. ET.
