CHARLESTON, Ill. – Riding a two-game winning streak, the Eastern Kentucky football team will play its final road game of the 2017 season at Eastern Illinois on Saturday.

INSIDE THE SERIES
- Eastern Kentucky leads the all-time series with Eastern Illinois, 13-11. The Colonels are 7-6 against the Panthers in Charleston.Â

- EIU won last season, 24-0, in Richmond. The last time the two teams met in Charleston, EKU lost 21-7 on Nov. 21, 2015.Â

THE COLONELS
-Â Eastern Kentucky (3-5, 3-3 OVC) rushed for a season-high 229 yards in its 31-21 victory over UT Martin (Oct. 21), and then outdid that with 279 yards in its 26-13 win at Murray State this week.

-Â EKU has held both of its last two opponents to less than 100 yards rushing and less than 300 yards of offense.

-Â In its three games before the current two-game winning streak, Eastern turned the ball over 12 times (-11 turnover margin), the Colonels are +3 in turnover margin during their two-game winning streak.

- After beginning OVC play with four straight wins, Eastern Illinois (5-4, 4-2 OVC) has lost two straight league games. The Panthers lost to No. 3 Jacksonville State, 30-14, at home and then fell on the road at Tennessee-Martin, 27-10.
