RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team will do battle with the Murray State Racers for control of first place in the OVC on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at EKU Soccer Field.
Free t-shirts will be given out by EKU Campus Recreation while supplies last.

- EKU (7-3-3, 4-0-2) remains atop the Ohio Valley Conference standings with 14 points. Murray State 9-1-1 (4-0-1) is right behind the Colonels with 13 points.Â
- The Colonels walked away with two road wins on their road trip through Illinois last week, defeating Eastern Illinois, 2-0, on Friday and SIUE, 3-2, on Sunday.Â

Jordan Foster each scored in the Colonels' win over defending conference champions SIUE. The pair leads EKU with five goals each on the season. Carroll headed in the game-winning goal in the 77th minute off a free kick from freshman defender
Katie Shaffer, while Foster used a left-to-right crossover in the 15th minute to create separation and find the back of net.Â
- Sophomore midfielder
Marian Wolski became just the seventh Colonel in program history to record two assists in a game at SIUE on Sunday. She is tied with Foster for the team lead in assists this season (three).

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT

- Murray State defeated UT Martin, 3-1, on Sunday.Â
- Murray State is led by Harriet Withers, who is third in the country in scoring with 12 goals on the year.Â
- The Racers have not lost a regular season OVC game since October of 2014.Â
- EKU is 3-8-1 all-time vs. Murray State, and the Colonels have not defeated the Racers since 2013.Â
