EKU Women's Basketball Back At Home To Take On Ohio University

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball team looks to get back to their winning ways with a home matchup against the Ohio University Bobcats on Tuesday. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

- The Colonels (2-3, 0-0 OVC) fell to Cincinnati, 64-53, this past Saturday. The Colonels found themselves down 17 to the Bearcats in the first half. However, EKU managed to cut the deficit to six on multiple occasions, but could not come any closer.
 
- Freshman Bria Bass poured in a career-high 22 points on 8-of-16 shooting from field against Cincinnati. The Tucker, Georgia native also played a career-high 36 minutes.
 
- Shay Solomon recorded her second career double-double against the Bearcats, tying a career-high with 14 points and grabbing a career-high 12 rebounds, eight of which were in the first quarter.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
 
- Ohio (3-1, 0-0 MAC) lost to Michigan, 74-61, this past Saturday.
 
- On the season, the Bobcats lead the country in turnover margin, averaged almost 18 fewer turnovers per game than their opponents. They also ranked second in turnovers forced (29.5) and steals (17.8).
 
- Ohio comes into the game with a balanced scoring attack. Cierra Hooks and Dominique Doseck average 12.3 and 12 points per game respectively. Amani Burke also averages 11.5 point per contest.
 
- The Colonels are 3-3 all-time against the Bobcats. The last matchup came in 2013, where the Colonels fell in Athens, 69-58.
