RICHMOND, Ky. – After two straight road games, Eastern Kentucky returns to the friendly confines of
Roy Kidd Stadium to host Austin Peay on Saturday.
This will be Eastern Kentucky's Military Appreciation Game. Any current or former military personnel with proper identification will receive two FREE tickets and admission for additional guests for $7 each.

INSIDE THE SERIES
- The Colonels lead the all-time series 44-5 and are 23-2 against Austin Peay in Richmond. The two teams first met on Oct. 23, 1959, a 21-7 EKU victory. Eastern has won 28 of the last 30 against APSU.
- Eastern Kentucky won 67-30 last season in Clarksville, tying the program record for points in a game set against Morehead State in 1925. EKU has won the last five meetings by an average score of 46-12 (232-60).
- Daryl McCleskey ran for 109 yards on 11 carries and scored three touchdowns in last year's game.
Ralph Patton rumbled for 61 yards on seven carries. As a team, EKU rushed for 346 yards and scored six touchdowns on the ground.
THE COLONELS
- Eastern Kentucky (3-6, 3-4 OVC) has won two of its last three games
- The Colonels nearly had a three-game winning streak, taking a seven-point lead at Eastern Illinois with 32 seconds left in the game. However, EIU scored the tying touchdown and extra-point with 1.9 seconds left on the clock and then won in overtime.
- It has been an impressive three weeks for sophomore McCleskey (351 rushing yards, three touchdowns). He scored a touchdown and ran for what was then a career-best 137 yards against UT Martin. The next week he finished with a new career-high 144 rushing yards at Murray State, becoming the first Colonel to rush for 100 yards in back-to-back games since Dy'Shawn Mobley did it four games in a row in 2014. At Eastern Illinois (Nov. 4), McCleskey scored two touchdowns and ran for 70 yards.
- In two of its last three games, EKU has held its opponents to less than 100 yards rushing and less than 300 yards of total offense. Eastern gave up 38 rushing yards and 254 total yards to UT Martin, and 63 rushing yards and 273 total yards to Murray State. The Colonels nearly made it three games in a row. Eastern Illinois finished with 109 rushing yards and 322 yards of offense in an overtime game.
- While the defense has registered 19 sacks, the EKU offensive line and quarterbacks have only allowed seven in nine games. That is second the conference and is the 11th fewest sacks allowed in the nation.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Austin Peay has won three straight conference games and comes to Richmond with a 6-4 record, including a 5-1 mark in league games.
- The Governors last four OVC wins have come by an average margin of 6.25 points.
- APSU's offense is powered by one of the best running games in the nation. The Governors are first in the OVC and seventh in FCS with 254 yards per game on the ground. Austin Peay has scored 26 rushing touchdowns this season. APSU averages 126 passing yards per game.
- The Governors have turned the ball over 17 times this year, two more than their opponents have given it away.
- Austin Peay has only allowed seven sacks in 10 games.
- Four Governors have 340 or more rushing yards this season and all four average 5.2 yards per carry or more. Kentel Williams leads the team with 602 yards. Ahmaad Tanner has 512 yards. JaVaughn Craig has 374 yards and six touchdowns. Quarterback Jeremiah Oastsvall has 340 yards.
