- Mayo currently ranks second in the OVC in scoring (18.1 points-per-game), fifth in rebounding (8.4 rebounds-per-game), eighth in field goal percentage (55.8%), seventh in free throw percentage (86.4%), second in three-point field goal percentage (56.3%), 13th in assists (2.9 assists-per-game) and second in blocks (2.0 blocks-per-game).

Dedric Boyd ranks 16th among all freshmen in the country in total points (141).
- EKU leads the OVC and ranks 26th in the country in free throw percentage (77.2%).
- EKU and NKU recruit in-state more than any other Division-I universities in Kentucky. Both teams have eight players on their rosters who played high school basketball in Kentucky.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- This is the eighth all-time meeting between EKU and NKU, but the first since 1992. The Colonels lead the series against the Norse, 5-2, and won the last meeting between the schools, 81-71, on Dec. 2, 1992 in Richmond.
- NKU (6-3) had won two straight before falling at East Tennessee State, 84-71, on Wednesday night in Johnson City.
- Drew McDonald and Lavone Holland II lead a balanced NKU scoring attacked at 14.4 points-per-game.
