RICHMOND, Ky. –

Ben Fisher. After a scoreless seventh, Kerr picked up his last RBI of the day with a single up the middle that plated Sullivan and made it a 14-7 game.
Â
The Colonels attempted a rally in the ninth when Sullivan singled to bring Mile Jones across home plate. Blair followed him at the plate and sent a double to right center, scoring Fisher and Sullivan. That is where the rally would end, as EKU fell 14-10.

"Tough way to wrap up the series, but I'm proud of the fight we showed today," said EKU Head Coach
Edwin Thompson. "We found ourselves in a big hole, but we competed until the last out and gave them a fight.
Aaron Ochsenbein helped settle everything down and allowed us to rally on the offensive end. I'm very proud of these guys and how much they fought."
Â
EKU returns to action when it hosts the Dayton Flyers on Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Earle Combs Stadium.Â
