RICHMOND, Ky. – One day after breaking the program record for home runs, senior
Ben Fisher hit another in his final home game on Sunday, an 8-4 loss to visiting Tennessee Tech at Earle Combs Stadium.
The Colonels erased a 2-0 deficit in the bottom of the third inning. After
Cornell Nixon and
Shea Sullivan were both hit by pitches, Fisher drove a 1-1 pitch over the wall in right center to make it a 3-2 game in favor of the home team.

It was Fisher's 23rd of the season. The Richmond, Kentucky native broke
Kyle Nowlin's school record of 21 home runs on Saturday when he hit a solo dinger against the Golden Eagles.

Kevin Strohschein tied the game for TTU (36-17, 22-5 OVC) with a solo home run in top of the fourth. Strohschein's RBI single in the top of the sixth broke the 3-3 tie.

Alex Holderbach had the answer for Eastern in the bottom half of the sixth inning. He hit a solo home run over the wall in right for his ninth of the season.

Tech's Collins Harris hit the final home run of the game. His solo dinger to lead off the top of the ninth inning proved to be the game-winner.

Fisher finished 1-for-4 with a run and three RBIs. Holderbach had a 2-for-4 day, scored a run and drove in one.

Strohschein had three hits in five at bats, scored once and drove in four. Harris finished 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI.  Matt Jones was 3-for-5 with a run scored.

The Colonels (24-28, 10-17 OVC) will play at Missouri on Tuesday at 5 p.m. before concluding the regular season with a three-game series at Southeast Missouri starting Thursday.
