RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky soccer team will open Ohio Valley Conference play this weekend, hosting Austin Peay on Friday at 4:00 p.m. before travelling to in-state rival Morehead State on Sunday for a 1:00 p.m. showdown.

- EKU (3-3-1) defeated East Tennessee State, 3-1 on Tuesday, and the Colonels enter conference play having won their of three last four games.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
- Austin Peay (5-2) is coming off a 3-0 victory over Little Rock on Sunday.
- On the season, APSU is averaging 15 shots and two goals-per-game.
- Kirsten Robinson leads the Governors and ranks second in the OVC with six goals.
- APSU edged EKU, 1-0, last fall in Clarksville. The all-time series between the two schools is even at 5-5-2.
- Morehead State (1-5) recently lost to Evansville, 2-1.
- Four Eagles are tied for the team lead with one goal apiece.
- Samantha Damante leads Morehead State in the assists category with two on the year.
- EKU routed Morehead State, 4-0, last year in Richmond; however, the Eagles lead the all-time series over the Colonels, 8-3-2.
