BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Eastern Kentucky University junior All-American
Charlotte Imer has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Female Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Â

Â
The native of Melbourne, Australia defeated her nearest competitor – Kentucky All-American Katy Kunc – by nearly 20 seconds. Imer's performance helped lead EKU – ranked No. 6 in the NCAA Southeast Region – to a first-place finish at the meet, including a win over Kentucky, which came in ranked No. 4 in the Southeast.
Â
It is the latest in a long list of accolades for Imer, who was a two-time All-American and the OVC Cross Country and Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year in 2016-17.
Â
Imer and the Colonels return to action this Saturday, September 9, at the Bluegrass Invitational in Lexington.
