Soccer to Host Gardner-Webb in Home Opener

RICHMOND, Ky. – After five consecutive road games to open the season, the Eastern Kentucky University soccer team will play its first home game against the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs on Friday. Game time from EKU Soccer Field is scheduled for 4 p.m.

- EKU (2-2-1) is currently riding a two-game winning streak, with victories over IUPUI and Xavier. 

- In the Colonels' most recent matchup with Xavier, senior forward Jordan Foster scored from six yards out in the 86th minute to lift the Colonels past the Musketeers, 1-0. 

- Foster has now scored in three straight games and recorded two straight game-winning goals. 

- Senior goalkeeper Anna Hall notched three saves and her 18th career shutout in the win at Xavier. 

- All eight of the Colonels' shots were on target in their matchup with Xavier
