CHARLESTON, Ill. – Chloe Rojas collected a match-high 19 digs to anchor the Eastern Kentucky back court as the Colonels fell on the road to Eastern Illinois on Friday.

The Panthers won by scores of 25-15, 25-17 and 25-16.

Rachel Woody had a match-high 22 assists to go along with five digs for EKU.
Cassie Knutson collected 10 digs, a team-high seven kills, and five assists.

Eastern Kentucky jumped out to an early 4-1 lead in the third set, before EIU ran off four straight points after the kill by Laurel Bailey. The teams would trade points back-and-fourth for most of the final stanza, before the Panthers ran off seven straight points to push their lead to 20-11.

Bailey led the way for Eastern Illinois with a match-high 12 kills. Anna Hughes tied for a match-high 19 digs.

EKU moves to 3-18 on the year with a 2-7 mark in the Ohio Valley Conference while EIU improves 8-16 with a 3-6 mark in conference play.
