Soccer Set to Face Belmont in Nashville on Sunday Afternoon

RICHMOND, Ky. The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team hits the road to Tennessee this weekend to face Austin Peay on Friday night at 7 p.m. ET and Belmont on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. ET.

- EKU (5-5-2, 1-1-2 OVC) beat in-state rival Morehead State, 4-3, on Tuesday in Richmond. 

- Erin Torrence scored her team-high fifth and sixth goals of the year, along with contributing her fourth assist on the year. 

- Torrence's five points in Tuesday's game were a single-game EKU record. 

- Torrence ranks second in the OVC with 16 points. 

- Sarah Owusu scored the golden goal in the 105th minute of action on Tuesday, her fourth score of the season. 

- Bailly Bounds also scored in Tuesday's offensive outburst. Monica Rios, Idalys Rea and Kylie Thompson all recorded assists in the win. 

- The Colonel offense ranks third in the conference in points with 53 on the year. 
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS

- Austin Peay (7-4-1, 2-2-1 OVC) defeated Jacksonville State, 4-1, on September 28. 

- The all-time record between EKU and Austin Peay is tied, 5-5-2. The Colonels and the Govs drew, 1-1, last year in Richmond. 

- The Govs are led this season by Claire Larose, who has seven goals on the year with 14 points. 

- Belmont (4-5-2, 2-2-1 OVC) lost at Tennessee Tech, 2-0, on Tuesday. 

- The all-time series betwee EKU and Belmont is tied at 2-2-2. Eastern has won two straight over the Bruins, including a 1-0 victory last season in Richmond. 

- The Bruins are led on the year by Julie Garst, who has four goals and one assist.
